searching

When we physically search for something, let’s say an item in a drawer, we typically remove all items from the area that are not what we are searching for.

We clear the area in which we are searching in order to remove the possibilities where what we are searching for could be hiding.

When we search for something with the mind – a reason, an answer, a solution to our troubles – we are actually adding more and more items on top of what we are looking for. The searching mind creates stories that were not there before.

A searching mind will never find what it is looking for; it will only create stories that block you from the exact thing you seek.
